The State Government of Paraiba, through the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Fisheries Development, The State Enterprise for Agricultural Research, The State Company for Agricultural Research of State of Paraiba - EMEPA-PB, The Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Enterprises - SEBRAE, The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - EMBRAPA Goats and Sheep, the Federation of Agriculture of the State of Paraíba - FAEPA, National Institute for Semiarid INSA will be held in the city of Joao Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil, thought 24-28 October 2011, at Hotel Tambaú, the 5th International Symposium on Goat and Sheep for Meat Production – 5th SINCORTE and National Fair of Agribusiness on Goat and Sheep Production - FENACORTE 2011.
The 5th SINCORTE and FENACORTE 2011, associated with parallel events will make up the largest gathering of goat and sheep industry in Latin America, contributing greatly to the development of this sector.
The event will have as main focus, discussions of major issues and proposals for technological innovations for the improvement and sustainability of production systems of meat and milk from goats and sheep in Brazil. Moreover, the technical and scientific activities, technological clinic, workshops & technology courses will provide great opportunities to transfer knowledge and technologies. Other highlights of the event will be the 3rd National Dairy Goat Forum, 2nd Trade Show of Technologic Products from Sheep & Goat Production of Northeast Family’s Farms, Island of Gastronomic Tastes of the Sheep & Goat Products including the Interactive Kitchen.
To this end, the promoters of the event intended to bring together some of the most important researchers in Brazil and abroad in various fields, aiming to bring the symposium parallel events and what's more modern in terms of technical and scientific knowledge about the goat and sheep production cut.
As a result, we are pleased to invite producers, technicians, researchers, businessmen, students and the general public to attend the Symposium and Parallel Events, which we are certain, will contribute greatly to the full achievement of the objectives of the event.:
