Goat meat, but also kangaroo, insects and even synthetic meat are often quoted!
The world goat population could double in India during the next 10 years, with the government support. Facing desertification of many regions such as Rajasthan, the goats, rustic animals provide the breeders good level returns. Goat meat would be a good answer the increasing demand of meat in India and abroad: 80% of the Indian goat meat is exported, mainly in Asia. But the main problem is always the same: to find food to feed the goats. Short grass and little water could be enough but if it is left. The situation becomes very tense in Rajastan and the shepherds go to the forests threatening ecosystems.
