The Atlas of goat products

The wide range of goat products all around world, cheese and other dairy products, meat and its various recipes, hair, skin, etc…is very rich.
In the recent years, conditions of production of some of these products appeared unsecured and their survival unlikely to be ensured in the future.

So, it seemed essential and urgent to Editors (and George Haenlein and Jean Boyazoglu) to get an objective knowledge on most of these goat products existing around the world: to describe them, and
provide information on their process, consumption and the facilities for their commercialisation, in order to incite the diversification of products and help the increase of farmers’ revenues.

Accordingly to this aim, the Atlas of Goat Products was born:
it represents the first stage of the project. It contains information on goat products from 28 countries, all five continents, for a total of 210 forms.
More than 140 cheeses are described, besides meat (carcass or processed), milk and by-products, sweeties, recipes, medication and tools, such as music instruments and knife. In few words, a bit example of whatever the goats can give us.
