It is with great pleasure that Animal Nutrition Society of India invites you to its Regional workshop on “Nutrition and Feeding Strategies for Goats: Linking climate resilient feeding and poverty alleviation” being organized by Animal Nutrition Society of India in collaboration with ICAR-Central Institute for Research Goats (ICAR-CIRG), scheduled at Makhdoom on June 01, 2015.
Animal Nutrition Society of India is endeavoring in bringing the research and development solutions for meeting the ever-increasing nutrient needs of the livestock, which is targeted for higher productivity. The society is bringing together the animal nutritionist, feed industries and the animal producers in developing the need based research solutions for the development of livestock sector in the country.
The ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Goats (CIRG) is a premier Institute of Indian
Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) engaged in research and development of goat in the country since 1979. The ICAR-CIRG is conserving and improving native goats through AICRP in several parts of the country. The Mandate of the Institute is to undertake basic and applied research in all disciplines of goat production and product utilization, impart trainings, transfer technologies and provide consultancy services for improving quantity and quality of meat, milk and fibre production from goat and develop goat products processing technologies. Institute organizes trainings at regular intervals for goat farmers and entrepreneurs, and also training for trainers. A concerted approach has also adopted by the Institute to demonstrate and implement the available improved technologies at the farmers’ doorstep.
How to reach
The institute is located at NH-2 between Agra and Mathura at almost eqidistance, at Farah, Mathura, UP. The nearest Airport is Delhi. The Nearest Railway stations is Farah Town, however railway stations Mathura and Agra may be preferred as most of the trains having stoppages at these stations. Frequent state bus services are available from both cities to reach Farah.
