8th International Conference on Goats
Pretoria, South Africa, July 4-9, 2004
The 8th International Conference on Goats took place in Pretoria, South Africa. This gave goat specialists and enthusiasts the opportunity to learn about a country experienced with many aspects of goat production.
The scientific program at the 8th ICG was stimulating, and encompassed all facets of research, education and production. In addition, delegates visited successful commercial farms, as well as traditional, communal and small-scale farms. |

Delegates also visited World Heritage Sites such as the Sterkfontein Caves, where Australopithecus Africanus was uncovered, and Roben Island, the symbol of endurance and freedom. South Africa’s magnificent game reserves are also a must-see for any visitors.
