Scientific & Regional Conferences Committee
Duties: Assist with organizing, planning, and implementing IGA regional meetings. Additionally, the Scientific Committee is responsible for working with the ICG host country Scientific Committee to recruit invited speakers, finalize the scientific program schedule, review, and select oral abstract presentations, and review and select poster award nominations.

Country Representatives & Regional Directors Management Committee
Duties: The CR & RD Committee is responsible for reviewing nominations, maintaining communication, and reporting, and encouraging engagement in IGA activities. Committee members will also assist RDs and CRs with organizing IGA meetings and developing IGA co-sponsorship of goat related activities to raise IGA’s profile.

Strategic Planning Committee
Duties: The Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for creating a current list of strategic priorities to implement to achieve the IGA mission, as well as monitoring, updating, and reporting the progress of the strategic plan.

Communications Committee
Duties: The Communication Committee is responsible for identifying articles or other materials that can be shared with members and the public, and offering feedback and suggestions to improve the website, blog, Facebook page, and Newsletter.

Coordination Committee
Duties: to improve IGA's internal communication this committee will be a hub between the Chairs of the other committees, facilitating the work and looking for ways to support each other's efforts.

Inactive Committees

IGA Consulting Group Management Committee (IGA-CGMC)
Duties:  The IGA-CGMC will manage the Goat Consulting Group. The committee will consist of at least one expert each for dairy, meat and mohair production systems and value chains, development planning, environmental integration and policy formulation.  IGA-CGMC will select the right consultant for each position.  When a request is received, the Committee will identify potential candidates, interview references and other experts in the field, and read publications if needed.  They will help the IGA Executive Director maintain and update the Consultant Pool Database.
The committee will search for assist with identifying potential clients, and advertise IGA’s availability and expertise.

Membership Committee
Duties: The Membership Committee is responsible for working with the IGA Executive Director to increase individual memberships and develop guidelines and a strategy for institutional membership. They will help identify new organizations that could be asked to join IGA.

13th ICG Small Group Committee
Duties: The 13th ICG Small Group Committee will assist the country organizers with planning, publicity, publication of a special issue of SRR, and coordinate with the IGA Science Committee to ensure presentations are of the highest quality.
