Conference Report – Annual European College of Small Ruminant Health Management (ECSRHM), Warsaw, Poland, May 2019

The Annual European College of Small Ruminant Health Management (ECSRHM) conference took place in Warsaw (Poland) on May 11th 2019 at Warsaw University of Life Science – SGGW, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The conference was organized by ECSRHM, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of WULS-SGGW, Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences – PTNW, International Goat Association – IGA, and Warsaw Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons.
The members of the Honorary Committee were of Prof. Neil Sargison, President of the ECSRHM, Prof. Arkadiusz Orzechowski, deputy Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of WULS – SGGW, Prof. Iwona Markowska-Daniel, President of the PTNW, Prof. Emilia Bagnicka, IGA Regional Director for Eastern Europe, and Dr. Marek Mastalerek, President of the Warsaw Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons. The Organizing committee consisted of Prof. Jarosław Kaba, Dr. Marcin Mickiewicz, Dr. Michał Czopowicz, Dr. Adrian-Valentin Potarniche, Dr. Agata Moroz, Dr. Lucjan Witkowski, Dr. Tomasz Nalbert, Dr. Andrzej Bereznowski and Dr. Olga Szaluś-Jordanow.
In the conference, 64 veterinarians from several countries participated: Poland, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Norway, France, Netherlands, Romania, and Iceland. Altogether, 35 lectures were delivered in three sessions. The main subjects regarded different aspects of goat and sheep diseases caused by viruses or bacteria, health status of the udder and many other topics. The program and abstracts are attached.
At the end of the conference, the participants visited Warsaw, the capitol city of Poland.
