Between September 19-21, 2018 the LXXXIII scientific meeting of Polish Society of Animal Production entitled “Challenges of animal husbandry in sustainable agriculture conditions” took place in Lublin (south-eastern Poland). The main organizer of the conference was the University of Life Science in Lublin, Faculty of Biology, Animal Sciences and Bioeconomy. There was also a meeting of the section goat and sheep rearing and breeding during the conference. Twenty-five people took part in this meeting.

Dwór Ostoja, Klimkówka and The Institute’s Experimental Station in Odrzechowa
Conference subject: breeding of the Carpathian Goats, implementation of the conservation program, veterinary prevention, and quality of goat products.
The conference “Native goat breeds and traditional dairy products” was organized by the National Research Institute of Animal Production, Department of Sheep and Goat Breeding within the project BIOSTRATEG II “Use and protection of genetic resources of livestock in sustainable development conditions.” It took place at the Institute’s Experimental Station in Odrzechowa (Poland) on October 9th and 10th, 2018.
Zuzana Sztankoova, the IGA Country Representative of the Czech Republic from the Institute of Animal Science, Department of Genetics and Breeding of Farm Animals in Prague, participated in the international goat conference that took place in Kouty from November 9th to 10th, 2018. The conference included visitors from Poland and the Slovak Republic.
