The Congress will take place on October 16-18, 2014, in Konya, Türkiye (Turkey). The aims of SRC preparation are for both celebration the 100th year anniversary of establishment of BDIARI in 1914 and sharing the recent advances of sustainable sheep and goat production.
A large numbers of scientists and representatives from all over the world will be participating in this congress, which indicates the high interest in the field of sheep and goat Production. Our congress aims to transfer the recent advances in our professional field, to our colleagues, academicians, industries, and related stakeholders to increase professional knowledge accumulation and to gather our colleagues in a social environment. In order to share a scientifically abundant program, we will be very pleased to have you in our Congress hosting expert speakers from Turkey and abroad.
The theme of this Congress is “Sustainable sheep and goat production”. We believe that sheep and goat production has become an important and strategic sector to provide high quality food, job opportunities and farmer’s welfare as well. Sustainable sheep and goat production in long term will be significantly influenced by the Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock Policy and conserved genetic resources.
Apart from plenary and parallel sessions, the congress will include, both technical and post-congress tour will be organised for demonstration of different varieties of sheep and goats to the participants. In addition to scientific program, local sheep and goat breeds exhibition program, supported by Turkish Sheep and Goat Breeders Association, will be arranged in accordance with our colleagues’ demands. Interesting and distinctive social programme will enhance the opportunities for delegates to build a network each other, as well as, enjoy the Turk-Seljuk cultural heritage in Konya, which was The Capital City of Anatolian Seljuk Empire 11th and 12th century.
Simultaneous translation between English and Turkish will be provided during the presentations.
We aimed to create an enjoyable atmosphere with some social activities as well. The participants accommodating in the hotel will be able to benefit from the social facilities of the Congress Centre such as the Turkish bath, sauna, fitness, spa, and indoor and outdoor pools.
